Why LEO?

"People often critique poverty-fighting programs for a lack of effectiveness and efficiency, and these claims are hard to prove true or false. LEO’s unique ability to demonstrate the impact of these programs through highly rigorous academic research is extremely necessary in our world today, and I’m so excited to be a part of it. I love to be able to combine my desire to work for people in need with my research experience and data skills to effect positive change for the most vulnerable populations in our country."

Bio

Sam coordinates closely with service providers and research faculty to design, maintain, and analyze LEO projects, with his current projects focusing on child welfare and adult education. Prior to LEO, Sam was a Peace Corps volunteer in the country of Georgia, where he taught English in a rural public school. Sam holds a B.A. in Economics from Grinnell College, and enjoys playing a variety of sports and music in his free time.
