Why LEO?

"LEO shines a spotlight on those with firsthand knowledge of poverty. By placing them at the center of the research process, LEO cuts through poverty's complexities to understand how services really work and why. As LEO works with even more service providers, our research will keep strengthening how both the public and policymakers fight poverty across the United States."

Bio

Ryan works with service providers to study their anti-poverty programs. He helps test how programs change clients' lives, clearly communicating the testing processes to LEO’s partners. He is interested in a wide range of fields within both economics and sociology, including institutional economic history and trade policy. Ryan graduated with a BA in economics and a minor in music from Hamilton College, where he first began working with service providers to study nonprofit entrepreneurship.
