Rachel Hochstetler

Strategic Partnerships Program Director

Why LEO?

"I joined LEO because I believe that the zip code or latitude and longitude of someone's birthplace should not determine the opportunities they have in life. Far too often children do not have access to the comprehensive healthcare, reliable nutrition, high quality education, and/or safe housing they deserve, and it becomes too easy for the cycle of poverty to repeat itself for another generation. As Catholics, we are called to respond to injustice and to care for the most vulnerable members of our communities. I am passionate about LEO's vision to reduce poverty and improve lives through evidence-based programs and policy, as well as LEO's commitment to subsidiarity through deep partnership with service providers."
