Why LEO?

Growing up in an immigrant family, I saw financial precarity as something that could shape the choices a family made and the opportunities available to them. That perspective has stayed with me as I’ve studied economics, where I’ve become energized by the way quantitative research can identify what solutions work, and then help scale these solutions to reach the people who need them most. My favorite part about being at LEO is its approach to this work— collaborative, respectful, and rigorous.

Bio

Meg works closely with nonprofit partners and local governments to study effective solutions for homelessness prevention. She earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she was involved in the social entrepreneurship space and policy advocacy.
