Why LEO?

"I joined LEO because I wanted the opportunity to use the tools of economics to explore ways to improve people's lives and alleviate the unnecessary suffering that poverty creates. I hope that by building strong relationships with LEO's research partners, we can work together to create rigorous evidence on how to meet people's needs so that they can flourish and build safe and healthy families and communities."

Bio

As a Assistant Research Professor, Lauren conducts research on programs and policies intended to reduce poverty and improve public safety and family well-being, in partnership with government and community-based partners. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and her BBA in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. She was previously a postdoctoral fellow with the Social Science Research Council's Prosecution Research Initiative.
