Why LEO?

Of LEO’s four Core Values—Dignity, Rigor, Partnership, and Hope—it’s Hope that feels like the engine of change. Without Hope, transformation stalls; with it, challenged people and their communities can move up and out, toward possibility. Hope has been an enduring throughline in my life, and it’s what drew me to LEO’s mission to disrupt the anti-poverty space with such conviction.

In my role, I’m able to intersect my passions for psychology, storytelling, and servant leadership in a way that feels meaningful, impactful, and long‑awaited. By reducing bias in personnel selection, supporting the teams who design and conduct research, and strengthening the partnerships that elevate voices too often unheard, I help create conditions where people can naturally thrive!

After decades of searching for a purpose, I’m grateful to have found work that aligns with who I am and what I believe at LEO.

Bio

As LEO's Operating Specialist, Eryn supports predocs, postdocs, faculty, and staff across their full LEO journey—from selection and onboarding to training and transition. She is driven by a deep commitment to people and purpose, bringing 25 years of professional experience and a uniquely holistic background spanning sales, food service, administration, not‑for‑profit education, mental health support, and even ballroom dance instruction!

Eryn is a graduate of Holy Cross College with degrees in Liberal Arts, English, and Psychology. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her Aussie‑Hound Pitbull Terrier rescue named Kramer.
