Why LEO?

"For decades, I have worked alongside people facing the profound and often devastating realities of poverty. I have watched mothers forced to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table. I have held the hands of seniors who sought refuge in homeless shelters because they could no longer afford a place to live.

LEO elevates these lived experiences, ensuring that the insights of real people are valued and used to drive meaningful learning. LEO not only tells their stories but helps identify what individuals truly need to rise out of poverty for good.

Bio

As Associate Director of Administration, I support every facet of LEO’s mission by overseeing the financial management team, leading hiring and staff development, and supervising the coordination of events and logistics that enable our team to thrive. Prior to this role, I served for 16 years as Executive Director of Food and Shelter in Norman, Oklahoma, and spent an additional decade in administrative leadership positions within two other poverty-relief organizations. I hold two master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma—a Master of Human Relations and a Master of Public Administration.
