Despite the economic downturn, the rate of poverty in the US actually went down in the initial months of the pandemic. LEO's Jim Sullivan has been tracking real-time poverty estimates using data from the US Census Bureau. He sat down with Yahoo Finance's Akiko Fujita to talk about what he's seen since the coronavirus pandemic started, and how that's shifted as enhanced unemployment benefits and stimulus checks have dried up.
