LEO co-Founder Jim Sullivan recently presented to the Lab @ DC on "How Evidence Can Transform the Fight Against Poverty." The Lab @ DC is an innovative initiative of District Mayor Bowser designed to work across district agencies to improve programming. The Lab motto of "Stronger Evidence for a Stronger DC" reflects its commitment to use scientific methods to test and improve policies and to provide the best evidence to inform decision making. Sullivan highlighted the work that LEO does across the nation with local providers to measure program impact and how transformative this work can be in improving lives and reducing poverty. He spoke of the growing effort to measure the impact of programs to best help those in need and how local efforts, like that of the Lab @ DC, are key to this effort.
