HUD-VASH Vouchers and Veteran Homelessness

The HUD-VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing) program provides veterans and their families with vouchers for rental assistance, case management, and clinical services. LEO examined the impact of HUD-VASH vouchers on veteran homelessness and finds that the voucher program is successful at reducing homelessness among veterans. HUD-VASH is run by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at sites around the country.
