Poverty is complex and won't be solved by just one sector or approach. That's why we're partnering with the Texas Public Policy Foundation and five Texas service providers to study the impact of their programs on families struggling to make ends meet.

These five service providers joined us earlier this month for a virtual two-day workshop to learn about impact evaluation and to start designing their research projects, which will launch later this year.
-
Catholic Charities of Dallas, with a focus on financial coaching for low-income clients.
-
Catholic Charities Galveston-Houston, with a focus on supporting female veterans and their families.
-
Combined Arms, with a focus on supporting military members as they transition to civilian life.
-
Goodwill Excel Center Austin, with a focus on supporting adults in earning a high school diploma and transitioning to college and career.
-
Jewish Family Service Houston, with a focus on supporting home health care workers.
Although these projects are Texas-grown, they won't stop there. What we learn in Texas will help build the nationwide body of evidence about what works to lift American families up.
